Chante Moore, born Chanté Torrane Moore (born February 17, 1967), is an American singer, songwriter, TV personality and author. At the age of 22, Chante was discovered by Louil Silas, signing her to his record, MCA subsidiary Silas Records. She released her first album in 1992 titled ‘Precious’, which peaked at number 100 on the US Billboard 200. By 1994, it was certified gold by RIAA. Chante released her second album, ‘A Love Supreme’ in 1994 which landed at 64 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart along with her single, ‘Old School Lovin’, hitting the R&B chart at number 19. Her biggest hit in the 90’s, ‘Chante’s Got A Man’ off her third album in 1999, ‘This Moment is Mine’, landed on the number 10 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In the same year, her single ‘I See You in A Different Light’ featuring Jodeci and Jojo Hailey was made the theme for the film, For The Love of The Game. Chante then went on to produce a number of albums; ‘Exposed’ in 2000, ‘Things That Lovers Do’ in 2003 and ‘Uncovered/Covered’ in 2006 both with Kenny Lattimore, followed by ‘Love The Woman’ in 2008 and ‘Moore is More’ in 2013. From 2013 – 2015, Chante started her television career by joining the cast for R&B Divas: Los Angeles for 3 seasons and Bally’s Las Vegas show, Jubilee! In 2014, where she also released her book, Will I Marry Me?. Chante’s most recent album release was in 2017 titled ‘The Rise of The Phoenix’, with lead single, ‘Real One’ which landed on number 10 on the US R&B Adult Songs charts
