Darius Rucker is a household name and initially found fame as the lead singer for the popular band Hootie & the Blowfish with their 1994 album “Cracked Rear View”. The South Carolina native was born on 13 May 1966. The singer-songwriter launched his solo career after 1998, while the two times Grammy award-winning Hootie & the Blowfish was on hiatus. In 2002 he released his first record, but it wasn’t until his second platinum-selling second album “Learn to Live”, that he made a name for himself solo. The second album’s success provided his solo career a solid footing, he won 3 Grammy awards, released several platinum-selling singles, and his music often got featured at Billboard’s Top 100 Country Charts.
