Angela Bassett was born August 16th, 1958 in New York City, New York. Bassett earned a bachelor’s degree in Afro-American studies and a master’s in drama from Yale University, before making her film debut in 1986’s F/X. Basset is best known for her roles in Meet The Robinsons, Malcolm X, and Boyz n The Hood.

Angela has also performed in numerous other films.
