Blake Lively is an American actress. She was born Blake Ellender Brown on the 25th of August, 1987, in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. She started her acting career at age 10, when she appeared in the movie “Sandman” directed by her father. In 2005, while still attending high school, she was cast as Bridget in the coming of age movie “The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants”. Her performance was noticed and she was nominated for a Teen Choice Award as Choice Movie Breakout -Female. Following that movie, Lively landed some small roles in movies such as “Simon Says” and “Accepted”. In 2007 she got her major breakthrough when she landed a lead role in the hugely popular teen series “Gossip Girl” based on the novel of Cecily von Ziegesar. She performed on the series until it ended in 2012. She has starred in several box office hits such as “Green Lantern”, “The Age of Adaline” and “A Simple Favor” alongside Anna Kendrick. In 2016, she starred in Woody Allen’s “Café Society”. In 2020, she co-starred alongside Jude Law in the drama movie “The Rhythm Section”.
