Actress Katie Holmes, born Kate Noelle Holmes on 18th December 1978 in Toledo, Ohio, had her first professional role in The Ice Storm. She first got the attention of an agent after performing a monologue from To Kill a Mockingbird. Holmes starred in a string of movies including Disturbing Behavior, Teaching Mrs. Tingle, Wonder Boys, and The Gift, before landing her breakout role as Joey Potter in Dawson’s Creek. Katie went on to appear in The First Daughter, Batman Begins, Eli Stone, Mad Money, The Kennedys, Dangerous Liaisons, Ray Donovan, The Giver, and Ocean’s Eight. Holmes also appeared on Broadway in All My Sons, and expanded her talents to directing. Katie directed Eternal Princess, and made her movie directorial debut in All We Had.
