About Omar Epps
Omar Epps was born on July 20, 1973 in Brooklyn, New York. He started his career mostly playing troubled teens and athletes. His first film was Juice (1992). He also appeared in Major League II and Higher Learning before breaking into the television drama ER. He starred in The Wood (1999), which gained him critical acclaim. He also starred in In Too Deep in the same year.
Epps would later reprise his role as a doctor when he joined the cast of the television series House alongside Hugh Laurie in 2004. This role earned him an NAACP Image Award in 2007, 2008 and 2013. He continued his television work in 2014 with the show Resurrection. He also co-produced the theme for the sitcom The Wayans Brothers.
