Omari Latif Hardwick was born on January 9th, 1974 in Savannah, Georgia, USA. Hardwick was an excellent sportsman in school life. But he recognized his special talent in art and started composing poetry by the age of fourteen. He was a star in the field, playing baseball, football and basketball, besides he participated in theatre in college. Hardwick’s powerful desire for acting headed him to Los Angeles where he made a great deal of effort by doing odd jobs and living in his car to make his expenses for acting classes. His vigorous attempts finally became successful when he made his television debut in “Sucker Free City”. His performance in “For Colored Girls” earned him a nomination for the 2010 Black Reel Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Hardwick is known as an actor who swamps to bring maximum justice to the character he is given as he once trained as a fireman for two years for his role in “Saved”. Hardwick correspondingly founded “Bravelife Films” film production company and “Plan B Inc. Theatre Group”.
