Paula Jai Parker IS AN American actress, comedian, director, and producer best known for her work in film and television. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, on August 19, 1969. Paula began her in 1993 when she appeared in the TV series The Apollo Comedy Hour and Townsend Television, and she became famous soon after in 19995 when she starred in the comedy cult classic Friday alongside Ice Cube, Chris Tucker, Regina King, Nia Long, and Anna Maria Horsford. She has since been a regular on the TV series The Wayans Bros., The Weird Al Show, Snoops, The Proud Family, Side Order of Life, True Blood, Recovery Road, A House Divided, and Crown Lake, and her filmography includes Phone Booth, Hustle & Flow, Idlewild, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, and Tales From the Hood. Paula won a Women Film Critics Circle Award for Best Comedic Performance and a CableACE Award for Actress in a Dramatic Series.
