Dancer and actress Zoe Saldana, born June 19th, 1978 in New Jersey, made her movie debut in the iconic Centre Stage movie as Eva. Saldana studied dancing at ECOS Espacio de Danza Academy, teen theatre group Faces, and the New York Youth Theater. Before Centre Stage, her only previous acting credit was in Law & Order. Zoe went on to star alongside Britney Spears in Crossroads, and alongside Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Saldana has appeared in Law & Order: SVU, Six Degrees, Rosemary’s Baby, The Book of Life, and much more. Zoe has accumulated an array of coveted roles in many blockbuster movie franchises including Star Trek, Avatar, Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers. Over the years, Saldana has won many awards including several Teen Choice Awards, NFCS and DFCS awards for the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy, the Best Actress – Feature Film Award at the Imagen Foundation Awards for her work in The Book of Life, a Critics Choice Award, a star on the Walk of Fame, and much more.
