Joseph Edgar Foreman (who’s known online via by his moniker Afroman) is an American singer and songwriter who was born on July 28th 1974 in Palmdale, California, United States. He was born and raised in California.
He is famous for dropping the hit single Because I Got High in 2001 which gained popularity through Napster, local radio play, a feature on Howard Stern's radio show and the stoner movie. The single was also nominated for a Best Rap Performance Grammy Award in 2002. He rode the fame to drop his most successful album till date Good Times in 2001 which was gold-certified and a Top 10 hit album. He released the popular single Crazy Rap and also performed at the Cypress Hill fall festival with Method Man.
