About Busta Rhymes
Born in 1972, Busta Rhymes (Trevor Tahiem Smith Jr.) is a rap artist from New York City, New York. Busta Rhymes started out his career in music in 1991 as a member of the rap group Leaders of the New School, though they released only two albums before breaking up in 1994. Once the group had broken up, Busta Rhymes began his solo career with the album “The Coming” in 1996 after appearing in songs by artists like A Tribe Called Quest and TLC, and went on to feature in many hit songs such as The Pussycat Dolls‘ 2005 platinum single “Don’t Cha”. Busta Rhymes has been nominated for a number of Grammy Awards and the recipient of multiple BET Hip Hop awards.
