Carl Thomas is an American R&B singer born in Aurora, Illinois on June 15, 1972. He started his career singing in clubs during open mic nights. While singing at a club he caught the attention of the rapper Sean Combs, who signed him to Bad Boy Entertainment in 1997. In 1999 he released the single “I Wish” that topped the R&B charts for six weeks. The next year he released his debut album Emotional that sold over 1 million albums and was certified platinum. He released his second album in 2004 titled Let’s Talk About It with the singles “She Is” and “Let’s Talk About It.” In 2006 he released the song “Everyday (Family Reunion)” in collaboration with Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, and Gerald Levert that was on the soundtrack of Tyler Perry's Madea’s Family Reunion. The song earned the group a Grammy Award Nomination for best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals. In 2007 he released his third studio album So Much Better that hit number 25 on the the US Billboard 200 album chart. He released his most recent album in 2011 titled Conquer that hit number 165 on Billboard 200 album chart.
