Charly Black, born Desmond Mendize on April 6th, 1980 in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica is a singer and musician in the reggae and dancehall genre. He began singing at an early age in competitions. In 2004 he made his music debut with the song called “Woman It’s You.” He released this track as part of the Warlord International and Bass Odyssey sound systems, making his live performances bass heavy. In 2008 he released the song “Buddy Buddy” on the labels Coppershot, M Bass, and VP. In 2014 he released the single “Party Animal.” The single gained worldwide recognition when released in conjunction with Allezgo Productions and Casablanca Records. The single has received over 100 million streams on Spotify to date. In 2017 he released his newest single called “VIP Girl.”
