Doug E. Fresh, born Douglas E. Davis, is a Barbados-born beat boxer. He bounced between record labels throughout the ‘80s before teaming up with rapper Slick Rick and releasing iconic singles “The Show,” and “La Di Da Di,” on Fantasy Records. Both songs would later be hailed as early classics of hip hop. The two would team up again in 1995 for the album, Play. He has continued to release singles since, including “Virgo (feat. Ludacris & Nas)” in 2005, and “Left-Right” in 2007.
