Johnny Gill is a R&B/Soul artist from Washington, D.C. His love of music began when he sang with his brother in gospel group, Wings of Faith, as a young child. Gill’s break in the industry came when he released his debut single, Super Love, which peaked at #29 on the R&B Billboard charts. In 1994, he had his first top ten hit with the duet, “Perfect Combination.” 1990’s self titled album sold over a million certified copies, and was followed up with two gold albums – 1993’s Provocative, and 1996’s Let’s Get The Mood Right.

Gill has been a member of pop group, New Edition, since 1988, when he was recruited to replace founding member Bobby Brown. He has recorded several albums and numerous singles with the group, which includes Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ralph Tresvant, and Ronnie DeVoe. Gill has also been associated with artists like Chuck Harmony, Tony Dixon, Babyface Edmonds, and Roger Troutman.
