Clifford Smith, better known by his moniker Mr. Vegas, is a Jamaican Reggae singer, rapper, DJ, and songwriter whose music includes the influences of dance hall, R&B, and hip-hop. The moniker he is best known by was given to him by his cousin, because of the neon pink shorts Smith would wear on the football field.
Smiths’ 1998 debut album, Heads High, earned him ‘Best Reggae Artist’ at the British Mobo Awards. The albums single, of the same name, reached the number one spot on the Jamaican music charts. 2001’s album, Damn Right peaked at the number two spot on the United States Reggae charts. Other album’s include: Pull Up, Constant Spring, Hot It Up (2007), and Party Tun Up (2013). Smith has had the privilege to work with fellow artists Sean Paul, Don Omar, El Medico, Kevin Lyttle, Steely, Shaggy, and Barrington Levy.
