About Ralph Tresvant
Ralph Edward Tresvant Jr. (who’s popularly known as Ralph Tresvant) is an American singer and songwriter who was born on May 16th 1968 in Boston, Massachusetts, United States. He was born and raised in the United States.
Ralph met Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis (both producers and songwriters) who got him to sing the LP Heartbreak. The LP went double-platinum. The duo also wrote the song Sentivitiy and got Ralph to sing it. The track sold over a million copies, peaked #1 on R&B and #4 pop on Billboard’s charts in 1990. He dropped his own solo debut Ralph Tresvant in November 1990. The release again went platinum, peaking at #1 R&B for two whole weeks. It also featured the hit tracks Stone Cold Gentleman, Do What I Gotta Do and Rated X. Ralph is also famously known as the head of the group New Edition, singing hits songs like Candy Girl and If It Isn’t Love.
