Working together with Andre Harrell, the former CEO of Uptown Records, Thicke released his debut album A Beautiful World in 2003. Thicke later released his breakthrough album The Evolution of Robin Thicke, which included the major hit “Lost Without U”. The album went platinum and sold more than 1.6 million copies in the U.S. alone, and won him the 2007 VH1 Soul/Vibe Award for “Best Breakthrough Artist”.
