The Pharcyde is an American hip-hop group formed in 1989 in Los Angeles, California. The original lineup includes members Imani, Bootie Brown, Fatlip, and Slimkid3. Known for their innovative sound and introspective lyrics, The Pharcyde made a significant impact on the 1990s hip-hop scene with their debut album, Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde, released in 1992. The album, featuring hits like "Passin' Me By" and "Otha Fish," is celebrated for its creative production and storytelling.
Their follow-up album, Labcabincalifornia (1995), continued their success with tracks such as "Runnin'" and "Drop," further solidifying their influence in hip-hop.
