Tom Tom Club is an American new wave band that was formed in 1981 by Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth as a side project from Talking Heads.

"Wordy Rappinghood," "Genius of Love," and a rendition of The Drifters' "Under the Boardwalk" are among their best-known songs, all of which were published on their debut album Tom Tom Club in 1981.

For their outstanding performances, the band has won several awards both locally and internationally and is regarded as one of the best American bands of their time.
